Sunderland,10 Sqn.

This is my humble tribute to Bill Tilley who flew this machine. I modified the 1960's moulded Airfix Sunderland so that it had a twin -gun nose turret, two machine guns on each side  of the forward fuselage side, added the antennae array and put on the P/EK573.

Bill(William Boris Tilley), signed my Sunderland book shortly before he passed away a few years back.

Bill landed on the Bay of Biscay so that his crew members could rescue the crew of a downed Wellington bomber.
Pictures of the event are in Chaz Bowyer's book as well as on the AWM site.
