Take pity on me

Yes Ive reached the age where I need an indoor hobby that involves two hands not one.

Id like to start by building an F111, my favourite a/c as I had a model of one before the Govt had one. I can remember the comments at xmas all those years ago saying exactly that.

I built a few as a kid, could never wait long enough for the glue to dry, didnt have enough money for paint and the decals always floated off in the bath due to very bad carrier landings. Wrong type I now realise I didnt have tail hook.

So if anyone has the time, can they recommend the best kit, full works. Also airbrush set up and is it still Humber paint? What glue, what tips and tricks? I have lots of close up pics to help me.

Then Id like to move onto the Skyhawk as it had the most kit to hang off it back then.

Ultimately Id like to build the entire RAAF fleet post WW2 and donate them to an RSL to display, then die peacefully.

I worked in a toyshop when I was a kid and was always in Hearns Hobbies spying. Tamiya built the best kits in those days. The miserable old bastard I worked for would only give me 10% off retail, so I missed out on any bargains.

I think I have the patience and interest now in doing a good job so am hoping some of you can help. I promise not to soak any in lighter fluid and spin them from the Hills Hoist.
