After checking out A1 and A2's posts on images I thought I would add a post about it. To add a post do the following:
Go to the lower part of the screen and click on 'Upload' under the heading Attach Photos. It will take you to a file selection box where you go through and find the image you want to add to the post. Once you have clicked on it the image will be a small thumbnail at the base of the screen. Click on the thumbnail and the 'insert' box will light up next to the upload button. Click on this and you will see severa; options of either rescaled or rescaled to width, I use rescaled to mediun or large width. Once you have done this to the size you want you can get rid of the thumbnail by highlighting it then clicking on 'remove image' . This process should get your image on the site and get rid of the thumbnail. I will report this elongated process to N54 as it is silly.

Some issues?

David,
Will these images be available for more than the week time limit that the old forum had? I can see the servers filling up with uploaded images if people do not reduce the image sizes.
And is there a way to link to images on the web, i.e. sites like Photobucket? To prevent the problems with direct ly uploaded images disappearing off the site?

You can still link images from web sites by using the "image" icon to the right side of the message task bar when you are posting your message.
And while you can choose to select a smaller size for the image when you link it, it seems that the fixed width of the forum display will not allow the full sized image to be shown properly. That is something I would like to see changed if possible.
Something else to be wary of if allowing images to be uploaded directly to the forums is that other sites have had virus attacks from allowing this feature as, apparently, it is possible to embed a virus or other nasty within an image and upload it to attack the site.
As always though David, thanks for your ongoing efforts.
Cheers,
Motty.
Edit: It seems the board has now been set to automatically resize any linked image to display fully within the forum boundaries (my image above is actually twice that size). There is the ability to see the full sized image if you put your pointer over the image, right click and select "view image" but this is not obvious and it also takes you away from the post to do it.
Is there a way to allow the forum width to be dependent on the viewer's monitor rather than a fixed size for everyone? Maybe there's a setting like "x% of window" rather than "x pixels"?

I like a re-invented wheel, once it works.
preview please.
Oh, oh! What's going on?
Text size involuntary explosion.
This is hilarious!
How big does it get?
This big!
